Mission Statement
We at Temple Emanuel Synagogue are committed to motivating and inspiring our members to develop and maintain a lifelong commitment to, appreciation of, and love for God, Torah learning, and Jewish practice, the State of Israel and Klall Yisreal (the Jewish People), and "Tikkun Olam" (bringing peace, joy, and healing to our own community and to the world at large), with our ultimate goals being for our members to seek and find meaning and satisfaction from their being Jewish and being part of the Temple Emanuel community, and for Temple Emanuel to continue to be a warm and inclusive community.
Learning
Temple Emanuel has its own FREE Religious School which serves children from Pre-K through Bar/Bat Mitzvah and Confirmation. Classes are held at the synagogue in the education building on Sunday mornings from 9:00 - 12:00 pm.
Prayer & Worship
Prayer and worship services are hybrid. You are welcome to attend either in person or on line via Zoom. Our services are traditional, participatory, and engaging. They follow closely the new Conservative siddur (prayer book) Lev Shalem. Worship is not a performance, but a spiritual practice. The services are led by members of the community and/or the Rabbi. Men and women participate equally.
